On Thursday, March 27, the Coalition of the Willing summit, organized by French President Emmanuel Macron, was held in Paris
Continued support for Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression, further pressure on the Russian Federation, and security guarantees for our country are the key topics of the leaders’ summit on supporting Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this before his meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the British Embassy in Paris.
The Head of State noted the leadership of France and Great Britain in the Coalition of the Willing.
According to the President, the results of the meeting provide important confirmation that there will be no lifting of sanctions against the Russian Federation until it stops this war.
“This is critically important – everyone understands that today Russia does not want any peace. This is very important. And we will work on security guarantees in the coming weeks and days. I think this is important not only for the present, but also for our future,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
Keir Starmer noted that all participants in the coalition of the willing are determined to achieve peace through force.
“Russia is trying to stall for time, playing games, and we must be clearly aware of this,” he added.
According to the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the outcome of the meeting is also increased support for Ukraine to ensure the strongest position both now and during future negotiations.
“And, of course, we discussed further plans for ensuring peace, the activities of the coalition of the willing, as well as military and operational plans – on land, in the air and at sea,” Keir Starmer concluded.
